Our history
Entering the asset tracking industry in 2001, SimplyTrak are now one of the longest established companies in the entire business.
From this time onwards we have worked towards building a large portfolio of satisfied clients. SimplyTrak solutions have been utilised to optimise the operations of hundreds of customers, protecting assets in their thousands all across Europe.
Since 2004 we have expanded our range of products to include GPS tracking solutions that have applications besides the tracking of vehicles.
This illustrious history has created a company that is now a leading provider of asset tracking solutions. SimplyTrak today offer a greater range of specialist tracking products than any other provider in Europe.
Business Description
SimplyTrak provide complete systems for tracking, monitoring and protecting mobile assets. We are also very active in the monitoring of static assets and relaying of performance data (M2M). SimplyTrak systems are developed entirely in-house and are used by companies who need to know where their vehicles, mobile workforce or mobile assets are at any given time and where they have been.
History
- 2001: SimplyTrak established to provide vehicle-tracking services in the UK
Development begins on vehicle tracking software and hardware - 2002: Vehicle tracking system launched
- 2003: Begins building up a nationwide network of distributors across the UK
- 2004: Awarded several large scale contracts including Local Authorities
- 2005: Recruited distributors across Europe
SimplyTrak becomes the first company to launch a personal tracking device in the UK - 2006: Merges with Creative Cellular Solutions Ltd (our largest UK distributor)
Operational Headquarters relocated to Hull; R&D Centre Established in Salisbury.
Simplytrak expands our product range to include other asset tracking devices to capitalise on the growing need of organisations wishing to track more than just vehicles.
100% in-house leasing implemented. - 2007: FOCSA (Europe’s largest provider of environmental services) selects SimplyTrak to design, develop and implement a bespoke tracking and data communication system for its entire fleet of waste collection vehicles.
Customer base doubled.
New, web-based tracking system launched
O2 selects SimplyTrak as the dedicated SME partner within its Accelerator program - 2008: O2 starts selling SimplyTrak products direct to its customer database.
Launch of generator monitoring and M2M systems.
In conjunction with D2i and Sequena, SimplyTrak launches the Lean & Green Consortium

SimplyTrak customers are typically organisations that deploy large mobile workforces – such as logistics companies, utility companies and local authorities. At present, approximately 20% of SimplyTrak business is derived from the public sector where it has a successful track record in winning business through open tenders. Since trading began, SimplyTrak has maintained an average annual customer retention ratio of approximately 97% - among the highest in the industry.
SimplyTrak currently has over 500 customers, which include UPS, Chevron, Derby City Council, City of York Council, Dones Bookmakers (Bet Fred), HM Prisons, Shell and English Landscapes.
